Leo Burnett USA to use Vela DVD archiving system to manage video assets

Salt Lake City-Leo Burnett USA said it has selected the RapidAccess DVD-RAM archiving system from Vela Research Inc. for storage and management of video assets in its Chicago office. The win is the first advertising agency account for Vela, which manufactures video compression products for the broadcasting and cable industries. Leo Burnett will use the archiving system to manage its library of 23,000 spots dating from 1983, as well as libraries containing international and historic commercials.
