Light Reading acquires RCR Wireless’ database

By Published on .

New York—TechWeb’s Light Reading Communications Network, a unit of United Business Media, announced that it has acquired RCR Wireless’ database of more than 60,000 e-mail addresses.

Light Reading said it plans to use the list to help grow its webinars, events and Web sites.

“For years RCR Wireless was the leading print brand in the mobile space, with a powerful database of mobile carrier executives, vendors and other industry stakeholders,” said Joseph Braue, senior VP-group director of Light Reading, in a statement.

Light Reading acquired the database from Crain Communications Inc., publisher of BtoB, which closed RCR Wireless in March. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Arden Media recently acquired the RCR Wireless brand and is operating a Web site under that name.
