LinkedIn extends Company Pages API to all platforms

Published on .

San Francisco—LinkedIn Corp. is extending its Company Pages application programming interface beyond its initial partners, allowing developers to create LinkedIn content solutions on the marketing platforms they choose. Introduced last year, LinkedIn's Company Pages API was available only to a few platforms, including Adobe Systems, HootSuite Media, HubSpot, Salesforce.com Inc. and Sprinklr. Opening the API to all platforms will make it easier for marketers to generate and manage content on LinkedIn, monitor conversations in real time and retrieve analytics via the API, LinkedIn said in a statement. The move is expected to take advantage of LinkedIn's new Sponsored Updates, launched last month, which extends the reach of marketing content on LinkedIn, the company said.
