LinkShare aims to build business affiliate markets

Published on .

New York--LinkShare Corp., New York, announced Monday it will introduce B2B LinkShare by the end of the month. The service, costing $15,000 annually plus 2% to 3% of the client's revenue, is designed to create partnerships among business-to-business Web sites. Following a model LinkShare Corp. has already employed in consumer markets, the service will act as go-between for managers of business sites who are looking to create performance-based links with managers of sites drawing potential customers. That is, LinkShare measures traffic being driven by the affiliate site and the purchases made as a result. TradeOut.com, which sells business surplus materials, is the first major customer for B2B LinkShare.
