Local.com acquires local ad company Octane360

Irvine, Calif.—Local search company Local.com Corp. has acquired technology startup Octane360, which provides domain-based local advertising solutions for small businesses, agencies and channel partners. The deal was for $5 million in cash and stock.

Founded in 2008 and based in Los Angeles, Octane360 offers to its customers geo-targeted local website domains, website building and an ad exchange for deploying ad inventory, among other capabilities.

Octane 360 will become a wholly-owned division of Local.com.
