Local.com partners with MediaSpan for local search

Irvine, Calif.—Local.com Corp., a local search engine, announced a strategic partnership with MediaSpan, a digital content management and online marketing company.

The search engine will provide a private-label version of its Local Connect local search platform to more than 1,500 of MediaSpan’s newspaper, TV and radio clients.

The platform enables publishers to incorporate local search technology into their Web sites. It also enables publishers to generate revenue by integrating and enhancing their own advertiser listings, as well as local and national sponsored listings from Local.com’s network of advertisers. —Carol Krol
