Lucent will supply $1 billion in phone equipment to AT&T

New York -- Lucent Technologies won a $1 billion contract from AT&T Corp. to supply cellular network equipment. Murray Hill, N.J.-based Lucent will provide equipment and services for the expansion of AT&T's digital PCS network and other wireless operations. AT&T has said it will spend about $2 billion this year to expand its wireless business. (From Crain's New York Business.)
