New York—Macfadden Communications Group said Tuesday it has acquired Home Furnishings News from Fairchild Publications, a unit of Condé Nast. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Home Furnishing News, an 80-year-old weekly, covers the furniture, housewares, tabletop, floor covering, textile and major appliance markets.

Jeffrey Schaeffer, CEO of Macfadden, said in a news release that Home Furnishing News will continue to be published in New York.

Macfadden publishes several trade titles, including Consumer Products Buyer, Grocery Headquarters, Pet Business and The Pet Aisle.

In recent weeks, Fairchild has sold InFurniture to Home Furnishings Business, which is published by North American Publishing Co., and Supermarket News to Prism Business Media.
