Magna predicts U.S. online video advertising will grow by 32% this year

New York—Magna, a division of Mediabrands, projects U.S. online video ad revenue will reach $699 million this year, up 32% over last year.

By 2011, online video ad spending will reach $1.0 billion, according to the forecast. “Over the next few years, we expect traditional TV content—and traditional TV suppliers—will continue to account for the bulk of online video budgets, but as user-generated content sites increasingly supply professional content to their mass audiences, these sites will produce faster rates of growth,” according to the report.
