Manninen stepping down as president-CEO of IDG’s CXO Media

Published on .

Framingham, Mass.—Walter Manninen confirmed Friday that he plans to step aside as president-CEO of International Data Group’s CXO Media. He will remain in the position until a successor has been found.

"I’ve stepped aside because I believe a strong sales and marketing executive is needed in this particular market to keep the very positive trajectory for CXO Media going," said Manninen, who plans to stay at IDG.

"IDG is a wonderful company, and I’ve been given a blank canvas to sort of design what I feel would be best for me at the company," he said.
