Rockville, Md.--Manugistics Group, Inc. said Tuesday that demand for emergency planning applications is growing at a significant rate. Manugistics said its Emergency Planning and Preparedness (EPP) brand of software originally was developed for corporate emergency planning departments, but buyers in the public sector at the federal, state and local level, including military buyers, have emerged since Sept. 11. EPP software applications allow an organization to pre-plan buying, even during a period when its needs to escalate incrementally, Manugistics said. The software can be used to coordinate assets in the field and provide ongoing analysis.
