MarchFirst CEO, top officers resign

Published on .

Chicago--Internet consulting firm MarchFirst Inc. said Monday that Robert Bernard, chairman-CEO, has resigned, along with Thomas R. Metz, president-COO, and Joseph Bong, exec VP-client services group. The board of directors named Steve Pollema, who has been serving as exec VP-global operations, as president, and formed an executive committee to seek a new CEO. While the company offered no explanation for the executive departures, other than to say they were mutual decisions reached by the executives and the board, the firm has struggled in recent months, announcing two rounds of layoffs affecting more than 1,500 jobs since November.
