Marina del Rey, Calif.—Brand in the Hand, a division of Harvey Alpert & Co., Monday formally unveiled a new out-of-home tool that delivers marketing messages during airline flights.

Brand in the Hand places advertisements on peanut and pretzel snack bags given to passengers on airline flights. The unit announced Monday that Hilton Garden Inn is using the service to promote its Cooked-To-Order meals.

“Having been in the business of supplying snacks to consumers in-flight for over 30 years, we realized there was a huge untapped opportunity to connect brands with airline passengers and do something really unique,” Harvey Alpert, founder of Harvey Alpert & Co., said in a statement. “Brand in the Hand literally places an advertiser’s brand and message in the hands of millions of in-flight passengers. The opportunity to reach an affluent, nondistracted audience that has the time to focus on a company message is immeasurable, and we are excited about the next phase of the business.”
