MarketTools sews up CPG giants

Mill Valley, Calif.--MarketTools Inc. said that such consumer packaged goods industry giants as General Mills Inc. and Procter & Gamble Co. have signed on to use its Web-based marketing research software platform. The Mill Valley, Calif.-based company said it will work with established CPG market research companies to provide quicker research data than can be gathered through telephone, in-person and mail market research. The CPG industry spends about $5 billion of the $15 billion spent globally on market research each year, MarketTools said.
