Boston--Massachusetts Financial Services has begun a drive in which the $112 billion mutual fund company will build Web sites for its corporate 401(k) customers, said Brendan Nolan, VP-technology. Demand from plan sponsors prompted the company's move, he said. Massachusetts Financial is personalizing each Web venue, mostly building each in-house. ``It's a unique look and feel for [customer's] employees,'' he said. As the defined-benefit and 401(k) marketplaces grow increasingly competitive, mutual fund companies are beginning to market Web-enablement services to make themselves stand out.
