San Francisco--MasterCard International has introduced a Web-based rating program that is intended to increase the level of financial trust between b-to-b e-marketplace buyers and sellers. Named MasterSource, the program allows potential buyers and sellers to research each other's payment histories. "MasterSource operates on a principle that if buyers can access reliable information about potential trading partners, their confidence levels will increase, resulting in more completed transactions through e-marketplaces," said Steve Abrams, senior VP-corporate payment solutions, in a statement.
