McCann Worldgroup wins Intel business

Santa Clara, Calif.—Intel Corp. has named Interpublic Group of Cos.’ McCann Worldgroup as its global brand marketing agency of record, following a review that began in September. The value of the account is estimated to be $300 million.

The incumbent was Euro RSCG Worldwide, which pulled out of the review in January.

McCann Erickson, New York, will serve as lead creative agency on the account, and Universal McCann will oversee media planning and buying.

McCann relationship agency MRM Partners and online agency R/GA will provide additional support.

Other agencies that competed in the review were WPP Group and Omnicom Group.
