McGarryBowen wins Verizon Wireless business

By Published on .

New York—Ad agency McGarryBowen has reportedly won the Verizon Wireless account from the New York office of McCann Erickson, according to Advertising Age, a sibling publication of BtoB.

In addition, Verizon’s Fios advertising business, currently served by its lead agency, McCann, is up for review, Ad Age reported.

McGarryBowen was founded in 2002 with Verizon as one of its initial clients, but was dismissed by the telecommunications company two years ago. Now owned by Dentsu Holdings, McGarryBowen was hired by Verizon last summer to handle the September launch of the Droid smartphone, an assignment worth about $100 million in billings.
