In the fourth quarter, however, McGraw-Hill's net income declined 8.0% to $153.8 million. For the full year, the company's net income increased 13.4% to $828.1 million.
McGraw-Hill's information and media division's business-to-business group, which includes the Aviation Week, J.D. Power and Associates, McGraw-Hill Construction and Platts brands, posted a revenue decline of 4.0% to $220.9 million in the fourth quarter. For the full-year 2010, the group's revenue fell 7.0% to $811.5 million; however, excluding results for BusinessWeek, which it sold to Bloomberg in December 2009, the unit‘s revenue grew 4.9%.
