McLeod, Sarnoff depart Dow Jones

New York—Dow Jones & Co. executives Ann Sarnoff and Gordon McLeod have left the News Corp. division, it was announced Wednesday.

Sarnoff, who had been president of Dow Jones Ventures and senior VP-strategy and development, was named COO of BBC Worldwide America on Wednesday. She will report to Herb Scannell, president of BBC Worldwide America. Sarnoff had been with Dow Jones since 2006.

McLeod had been president of The Wall Street Journal Digital Network and had been with the company since 2006. He did not reveal any future plans.

In an internal memo, Todd Larsen, Dow Jones president, said that discussions are under way “for a smooth and successful transition.”
