MDC Corp. division buys Accent Marketing

Toronto--MDC Corp.'s communication and marketing services division has acquired another marketing communications firm, Accent Marketing, Louisville, Ky. MDC now owns 17 marketing communications companies in North America, including Colle & McVoy Marketing Communications, Minneapolis; Margeotes/Fertitta & Partners, New York; and CyberSight, Portland, Ore. MDC also announced that it is changing the name of its communication and marketing services division to Maxxcom. It has also realigned Maxxcom into two sectors: one for integrated marketing communications companies and the other for companies specializing in a specific discipline, such as interactive marketing. Beverly Morden will continue as president of the renamed division.
