BtoB raises $15 million

Durham, announced it has raised $15 million in funding from companies including London-based Schroder Ventures Life Sciences Advisers Ltd. and San Francisco-based Acacia Venture Partners. MDeverywhere Inc., which develops hand-held Internet software for physicians, will use the funding to develop its platforms, which are used by 35 hospitals around the U.S. While doctors are among the most elusive b-to-b marketing demographics, personal digital assistant companies are having more success than others at capturing their business. Other investors include Farmington Hills, Mich.-based InvestCare Partners L.P. and Atlanta-based Monarch Capital Partners L.L.C.
