Atlanta -- Medcast Networks Wednesday unveiled its electronic broadcast system that will deliver daily broadcasts via the Internet to doctors subscribing to the service. The broadcasts will include daily medical news, specialty-specific continuing medical education and rich-media medical illustrations. The system will initially have five medical news networks, covering cardiology, psychiatry, oncology, endocrinology and primary care. Medcast plans to generate revenue from physician subscriptions and through sponsorships sold nationally to pharmaceutical and medical supply companies and locally to hospitals.
