MediaAmerica signs streaming media ad-rep deal

New York--MediaAmerica Inc. said Wednesday that it has been selected by GlobalMedia.com to represent it for sales of streaming media advertising. The deal means MediaAmerica, New York, will sell advertising space on GlobalMedia.com's network of streaming media content, which is accessed through the use of a branded media player. For MediaAmerica the deal represents an expansion of its client roster, which includes national advertising on more than 90 radio programs and networks, cable TV, and Web sites Countrystars.com, YellowOnline.com, Discjockey.com and StreamAudio.com. The move comes as advertisers increasingly tap audio and video content to get their message to prospects.
