Medical consulting company launches database of court decisions

Published on .

Chicago--MDEX Online Inc., an online medical and legal consulting company for attorneys, announced it has launched The Daubert Tracker, a searchable database of more than 3,000 court decisions and information about scientific and expert testimony. The database is named after the landmark 1993 Supreme Court ruling Daubert vs. Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals Inc., which gave judges ultimate authority to determine reliability and relevance of expert testimony. The decision overrode a 50-year-old ruling and began an ongoing debate about what governs the admissibility of expert testimony in both state and federal trials. Legal professionals can subscribe to the database annually or per session. They can also register to receive weekly e-mail updates on the latest cases.
