Medical procurement pegged at $27 billion by 2004

Boston--By 2004, online b-to-b procurement of medical products will reach $27.3 billion, according to Millennium Research Group, a health care market researcher. Today, Web-based procurement represents just 1% of the medical industry's overall spending. But MRG forecasts the industry's Web-based purchasing will grow by more than 200% a year.
