MedTech Publishing changes name to MedTech Media

By Published on .

New Gloucester, Maine—MedTech Publishing Co., which publishes Healthcare IT News, announced that it has changed its name to MedTech Media. The company said the name change reflects its expansion into interactive technology, multimedia content and lead-generation programs.

Coupled with the name change, MedTech’s directors named company founder Neil Rouda chairman. He had held the title president-CEO. Jack Beaudoin, MedTech’s co-founder, was promoted to president.

“We believe our new name better represents the full suite of products and services we offer to our customers,” Rouda said in a statement. “While print publishing remains an important facet of our operations, our early adoption of Web-based technologies, sophisticated e-mail delivery systems, interactive Web seminars, virtual trade shows and other Internet-enabled communications channels positioned us for the rapid growth we’ve experienced over the past two years—and will continue to do so well into the future.”
