Merkle adds health care marketing group

Columbia, Md.—Database marketing agency Merkle has formalized its health care marketing business by creating a group specifically focused on the sector.

The company said it decided to create the group in response to increasing industry demand for measurable marketing solutions, as well as changing health care marketing, sales and regulatory environments.

Merkle currently works with such health care-related companies as GlaxoSmithKline and Sanofi-Aventis.

Heading up the new group as VP-client team leader is Jeff Wiltrout, who previously was director-integrated marketing and media services at GlaxoSmithKline.
