Merkle buys search marketing company Impaqt

Columbia, Md.—Database marketing agency Merkle Inc., Columbia, Md., has acquired search-marketing company Impaqt. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Impaqt, based in Pittsburgh, is expected to bring search engine optimization and paid search expertise, as well as bid management and search analytics, to complement Merkle's customer relationship management capabilities.

Impaqt customers include Citrix Systems, IBM Corp. and JPMorgan Chase & Co. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
