Merkle names four executives to interactive services unit

Lanham, Md.—Merkle, a database marketing agency, announced Thursday that it has hired four new executives to support the expansion of its Interactive Services practice. Based in Merkle’s Denver office, Interactive Services provides clients with online and e-mail marketing products and services.

Tom Maggio was named senior director of operations. He was previously director of solution services at Epsilon. Brett Charney was named director of strategic services. Charney was previously senior director of marketing at NetQuote, an online insurance lead aggregator. Anne Alden joins Merkle as creative director from Morey Evans Advertising, where she was interactive creative director. Jason Mitcham has been named director of product strategy; Mitcham was most recently product manager and implementation manager at Abacus.

Merkle President-CEO, David Williams, said in a statement: “The expansion of our Interactive Services practice enhances Merkle’s core expertise as a database marketing agency and will enable us to provide a broadened portfolio of interactive services. Our expanded offerings will provide our clients with an integrated solution that will enable them to effectively reach their key audiences to increase sales and consistently demonstrate ROI across media and channels.”
