Merrill launches Net-based platform for issuing securities

New York--Wall Street powerhouse Merrill Lynch & Co. has introduced an Internet-based securities issuance platform, called ``iDeal,'' that is aimed at institutional investors. Over "iDeal," institutional investors can: perform transactions, allocate funds, obtain news and online prospectuses, access Internet roadshows and view year-to-date deal activity. "iDeal" is part of Merrill's overall institutional Direct Markets Online project.
