Merrill subsidiary launches Web suite aimed at institutional investors

Published on .

London--Merrill Lynch & Co. subsidiary Mercury Asset Management Ltd. has launched a suite of Web sites aimed at demographics including institutional investors and financial adviser firms. The suite (www.mam.com), contains separate sites aimed at Mercury Asset Management's units in the U.S., U.K., Germany, Japan and Australia. Mercury Asset Management, which is one of the largest European-based asset managers, has included marketing information on its Net venue on investment vehicles including Mercury unit trusts. The move is important because it is evidence of New York-based Merrill Lynch's continuing play to dominate the nascent institutional investor Internet space.
