Meta: Wireless b-to-b transactions to markedly expand

Published on .

Stamford, Conn.--Twenty percent of all b-to-b transactions will happen over wireless devices by 2003, according to new research from Meta Group Inc., an IT consultancy. Meta did not provide current figures for wireless b-to-b transactions, though industry watchers have reckoned them to be in the low-single-digit percentage range. Meta did not return calls by press time. B-to-b financial services firms are leading the way in terms of wireless transaction growth. Companies including J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., for example, have begun wireless b-to-b bond sales initiatives. http://www.metagroup.com
