Redmond, Wash.—On the heels of its announcement earlier this week on the launch of Office Live and Windows Live, Microsoft Corp. announced that CRM 3.0, an update of its customer relationship management product, will be available in December.

The new version will be available through partners on a Web-based subscription model, according to Microsoft. Enhancements include new configuration, customization and integration capabilities.

Microsoft also announced it has acquired media-streams.com, a VoIP software company in Zurich, Switzerland. The Internet phone technology provider will be integrated with Microsoft’s business platforms and servers.

Microsoft also announced that next week, three new versions of its SQL Server, Visual Studio and BizTalk Server products will be available for businesses.
