Microsoft consolidates $100M account at McCann

Redmond, Wash. -- Microsoft Corp. consolidated its estimated $100 million corporate branding account at McCann-Erickson, ending the software giant's five-year relationship with Wieden & Kennedy. Microsoft had signaled the move in May when it withdrew its U.S. Windows business from the Portland, Ore.-based agency, assigning it to McCann-Erickson and a sister agency under the Interpublic Group of Cos., Anderson & Lembke in San Francisco. McCann-Erickson's San Francisco office last week merged with Anderson & Lembke to become McCann-Erickson/A&L. Wieden & Kennedy had developed Microsoft's first branding campaign, which featured the tagline "Where do you want to go today?"
