Microsoft consolidates online ad sales

Redmond, Wash.—Microsoft Corp. is adding a new advertising division, Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions, in order to consolidate its online ad sales. The new division will help marketers purchase ad inventory across all Microsoft digital properties, including MSN, the adCenter search platform, PCs, Xbox Live and Web-enabled mobile phones. The group will also handle ad sales for Windows Live, Office Online, Windows Mobile and Massive Inc., a videogame ad network that Microsoft purchased in April.
