Microsoft debuts campaign for Office 2007

Redmond, Va.—Microsoft Corp. unveiled a global advertising campaign for the release of Office 2007, one of the most significant product launches in the history of Microsoft Office.

The campaign, created by McCann Worldgroup San Francisco, has the tagline “It’s a new day. It’s a new office.”

Significantly, 61% of the marketing budget will be allocated to digital. The full budget was not disclosed. Online components include Web films, online demos and a relaunched Web site at www.office2007.com. The campaign also includes print and out-of-home advertising. One unique out-of-home placement is a “digital hallway” at JFK Airport, which showcases product features.
