Microsoft, to market portals to small and midsize businesses

Redmond, Wash.--Microsoft Corp. has signed an agreement with, a New Haven, Conn.-based provider of digital subscriber lines, to help develop co-branded MSN/ Web portals for the small- to midsize-business marketplace. Microsoft will supply the broadband technology and software, and will market the portals to its business customers, primarily in cities with fewer than 900,000 people. will also develop business-geared content for the portals. The portals, which will include MSN Hotmail and instant messaging services, are intended to help businesses boost online sales.
