Microsoft, eTranslate sign international b-to-b marketing pact

Redmond, Wash.--Microsoft Corp. and eTranslate, San Francisco, have struck a pact that has Microsoft offering eTranslate's services to Microsoft's 1 million global small-business customers. Microsoft unit MSN LinkExchange initially will market eTranslate's packages, which include language and cultural translation services for business Web sites and banners, to Microsoft's business customers throughout the U.S., U.K., Australia and Canada. Later, the deal will be extended to businesses throughout Japan, France and Germany. ``Our customers know that building an international strategy, which includes offering their sites in multiple languages, will help them succeed on the Internet,'' said Adrian Vanzyl, MSN LinkExchange's president of international business development, in a statement.
