Redmond, Wash. -- In the latest salvo in its Web browser battle with Netscape Navigator, Microsoft Corp. officially launched its new Internet Explorer 5 browser Thursday. More than 2 million users had already downloaded the beta version of the product, according to a Microsoft statement. Enhancements to Microsoft's browser include a new Windows radio toolbar that provides one-click access to streaming audio content while users browse the Web and what the company calls ``a 25% performance boost over Internet Explorer 4.0.''
