Microsoft prepares to unveil campaign for new search engine

New York—Microsoft Corp. is preparing to launch an ad campaign for its new search engine, code-named Kumo.com, according to a report by Advertising Age, a sibling publication of BtoB.

According to the Ad Age report, Microsoft is working with agency JWT to develop an estimated $80 million to $100 million integrated campaign, including TV, print, online and radio. The campaign is expected to debut in June.

According to an internal memo from Microsoft search chief Satya Nadella, posted on AllThingsD, the search service is now being tested internally by Microsoft employees.
