Microsoft reassigns agencies for Office, Bing

By Published on .

New York—Microsoft Corp. is switching agencies for its Office and Bing accounts, according to Advertising Age, a sibling publication of BtoB. Microsoft will move its Office account from JWT New York to Deutsch New York, and it will move its Bing account from JWT New York to another agency, which has yet to be announced, according to executives with knowledge of the situation. Deutsch New York also handles Microsoft's cloud-computing business. “As a business best practice, Microsoft regularly evaluates its agency mix to ensure we retain the most qualified partners for our business needs. [JWT parent] WPP remains a valuable partner,” Microsoft said in a statement, although it did not provide further clarification on the agency moves. The budgets for both accounts were not disclosed.
