Microsoft, Wells Fargo, Chase, others form e-mortgage company

Redmond, Wash.--Microsoft Corp., Wells Fargo & Co., Chase Manhattan Bank and three other corporations have formed HomeAdvisor Technologies, a b-to-b and business-to-consumer e-mortgage company. Microsoft owns a majority stake in Redmond, Wash.-based HomeAdvisor Technologies. Other companies investing in the new corporation include Wells Fargo & Co., San Francisco; Chase Manhattan Bank, New York; Bank of America, Charlotte, N.C.; GMAC-RFC, Minneapolis; and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp., McLean, Va. HomeAdvisor Technologies will provide Net-based content and transactional services to real estate executives and consumers.
