Miller Freeman buys Hong Kong IT show

Published on .

London -- Miller Freeman Worldwide has acquired Computer Expo, a Hong Kong IT exhibition, for about $5 million. The purchase extends a yearlong spending spree for Miller Freeman, which most recently agreed to acquire tech publisher CMP Media for $920 million. Miller Freeman currently owns 180 IT publications, trade shows and Web sites. "This acquisition further boosts our IT position in Asia, and with the Hong Kong economy poised for growth, this show has excellent prospects," said Miller Freeman CEO Tony Tillin, who added that he expects Computer Expo to double in size by 2003.
