Published on .

London--Miller Freeman announced Tuesday that Gary Marshall, currently president-CEO of Miller Freeman Asia, has been named president-CEO of CMP Media, Manhasset, N.Y., effective January 1, 2000. Mr. Marshall has been leading CMP Media's integration into Miller Freeman since United News & Media, Miller Freeman's parent company, completed its acquisition of CMP in June. Since the acquisition, CMP has shut down the print version of Windows Magazine, converting it into an online format, and sold its U.K. and French magazines. Mr. Marshall is currently focused on integrating Miller Freeman and CMP's Internet businesses for an initial public offering of the combined online products. In his future role, Mr. Marshall will report to Don Pazour, Miller Freeman's president-CEO.
