Miller Freeman reorganizes into 3 divisions, plans Internet IPO

San Francisco--Miller Freeman has reorganized into three business divisions focused on high-tech, business-to-business and Internet media. Its high-tech properties have been consolidated under the CMP brand as CMP Media. Gary Marshall, currently CEO of Miller Freeman Asia, will become President and CEO of CMP Media effective January 1. Miller Freeman President and CEO Don Pazour will serve as CEO of Miller Freeman Business Media. The combined Internet products and services are slated for an initial public offering of stock. Miller Freeman has formed a steering committee to develop the Internet business plan in connection with the IPO. "Our Web company will be the premier online service enabling business professionals to succeed in the building, buying, and selling of technology solutions," Mr. Pazour, who will chair the committee, said in a statement. All three divisions will be headquartered in San Francisco.
