Miller Freeman shifts tech publications under CMP brand

San Mateo, Calif.--Miller Freeman announced Friday that it has moved its high-tech titles under the CMP Media brand. Miller Freeman publications Dr. Dobb's Journal, Software Development Magazine, Microsoft Systems Journal, Microsoft Internet Developer, C/C++ Users Journal and Windows Developer's Journal are now grouped in a new business unit called Software Development Media, which is a division of CMP Media. This division also includes the Software Development Conferences and related Web sites. David Katch has been promoted to strategic accounts director for Software Development Media. He will be responsible for developing integrated media programs across the group's magazines, conferences and Web sites.
