Miller Freeman UK invests in London exhibit center

London -- Miller Freeman UK, a division of United News & Media plc, is investing in a new exhibition hall to be located near the London City Airport and scheduled to open in 2000. Miller Freeman's investment will give it an 11% stake in the proposed Exhibition Centre for London. The center will feature about 800,000 square feet of exhibit space. Miller Freeman's U.S. arm recently announced a foray into television and the acquisition of the National Sporting Goods Association trade show.
