New York—MIVA on Tuesday announced it has signed a global ad distribution deal with Data Depth Corp.’s iCopyright, a company that provides automated copyrighting technology designed to protect and monetize publishers’ online content through its iCopyright system. Under the agreement, pay-per-click and pay-per-call ads will be embedded in online content that is downloaded or e-mailed by readers. A percentage of the revenue generated from the ads will be paid to the publisher. With their combined solutions, MIVA and iCopyright will match the content of articles so that when readers download or e-mail articles, they will appear with contextually relevant pay-per-click and pay-per-call ads. ICopyright will pay publishers a portion of the revenue generated when ads are clicked on or result in a call.
