The big three business books all posted ad page declines last month, compared with August 2002.
Forbes was down 39.9%, BusinessWeek 13.3% and Fortune 1.2%. The Economist posted a modest 4.1% gain in ad pages. PC Magazine registered a 31.6% jump in ad pages for the month.
Three so-called new economy magazines posted ad page gains: Business 2.0 (49.1%), Wired (43.5%) and Fast Company (2.7%).
